IT Business Process Systems Manager, Newry, NI

Protea Recruitment is excited to advertise a brand-new role. Our client is looking for an IT and Business Process Systems Manager to join their team. Location: Newry, NI

Salary: £30k - £40k

The Role:

  • Management of the client IT infrastructure including all Hardware (PCs, servers, printers, network etc.), Software and the site telephone systems

  • Develop robust security and backup IT systems and ensure they are continually upgraded to allow constant and effective operation of all business computer systems.

  • Develop and implement an IT Policy, that aligns with other company documents, ensuring compliance and best practice principles are adopted by the total business.

  • Develop a robust business recovery plan to include cyber risk management and systems contingency planning in the event onsite systems are compromised.

  • Lead the business into digitising the business and moving to a paperless environment.

  • Provide IT support and training for all staff.

  • Manage all IT costs and expenses accordingly and within agreed budgets.

  • Ensure that all IT systems/procedures are continually maintained and developed to support the ongoing business systems development needs.

  • Support the implementation of strategic business development projects by either taking a Project Leader position or being part of the nominated Steering Group

  • Develop and assist in key operational performance reports and automation/process improvement projects.

  • Maintain current data systems and infrastructure.

  • Work with all business functions to understand company requirements for any report or data-driven system eg customer forecasting / integrated MRP systems.

  • Attend monthly SLT meetings to update business on key IT projects.

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by strict enforcement of the company's Health and Safety Policy and by developing a proactive culture to reduce accidents.

Required:

  • Qualified IT Manager with extensive financial experience in providing IT support to a multi-site operation.

  • Detailed understanding of the operational and supply chain functions across a complex FMCG business.

  • Ability to deliver extremely complex required reports under time pressure to give the business the visibility of data to make informed strategic decisions.

  • Confidence to challenge perceived areas of underperformance/irregularity across all parts of the business.

  • Experience in Project Management.

  • Strategic thinking and strong communication skills.

  • High level of IT skills

  • Rights to work already in place as sponsorship is not available
