Established in 2020 by founder and Managing Director Matt Steedman, Protea Recruitment was born from a desire to combine a genuine passion for the food and drink industry with decades of dedicated recruitment expertise.

The protea is South Africa's national flower, a plant known for its incredible resilience, strength, and ability to thrive in challenging environments. Launching a business at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic required those exact qualities. Today, our year-on-year growth is a testament to the resilience, adaptability, and determination we bring to every client partnership and candidate journey.
